Mixtape docs¶
Two sides of songs, a note for each one, and a link that plays it: how to make one, send it and print the J-card.
These pages explain Mixtape the way I'd explain it to a friend sitting next to me: how to make a mix, what the link is and what's in it, what the person who gets it sees, and how to print a J-card for a real case. If you're new, read "What is Mixtape?" first and then "Making a mix", which is most of what you need. The rest you can look up when you get to it. The page under "Under the hood" is for changing Mixtape itself, and you only need it if you're working on the code.
Getting started¶
- What is Mixtape? — what it does, where a mix lives, where it works and the one thing it loads from outside
Using Mixtape¶
- Making a mix — the label, the shell and the paper, adding songs and links, moving them around, the letter and your mixes
- Sending it — Make a link, how long links get, what's inside one, mixes you got, and Export and Import
- Listening — the arrival, the deck and its keys, YouTube and other links, flipping the tape, and Make your own
- Printing the J-card — the print view, printing at real size, and cutting and folding it for a case
Under the hood¶
- Developing — the files, the link format, the player, the test walk and deploying
Something wrong, or missing?¶
If something doesn't work the way these pages say, or you'd like Mixtape to do something it doesn't, open an issue on the GitHub repo and say what you did and what happened. A screenshot helps a lot.
