Peel docs¶
Photo in, sticker out: how to make stickers from your own photos and get them into GoodNotes.
These pages explain Peel the way I'd explain it to a friend sitting next to me with an iPad: what each tab is for, what the buttons do, and how to get the stickers into GoodNotes once they're made. If you're new, read "What is Peel?" first and then "Making a sticker", which is most of what you need. The rest you can look up when you get to it. The pages under "Under the hood" are for changing Peel itself, and you only need them if you're working on the code.
Getting started¶
- What is Peel? — what it does, who it's for, where it works and what stays on your device
- Install — opening it, adding it to your Home Screen, and the one big download the first time
Using Peel¶
- Making a sticker — photos, Paste, Pick the thing, several stickers from one photo, shapes and text stickers
- Fixing the cutout — Erase, Bring back, zooming in, the magic wand, Remove piece, the edge and Undo
- Dressing it up — the border, outlines, Cutout only, turning it, photo looks and words
- Getting it out — the sizes, Copy, Save and Keep, My stickers, Save all and sticker sheets
GoodNotes and other apps¶
- Into GoodNotes — pasting a sticker, keeping it in Elements, a whole set at once, and other apps
Running your own copy¶
- Your own copy — it's a folder of plain files, plus the cutter and two headers
Under the hood¶
- Developing — the files, how the model is built, the headers, the test walk and deploying
Something wrong, or missing?¶
If something doesn't work the way these pages say, or you'd like Peel to do something it doesn't, open an issue on the GitHub repo and say what you did and what happened. A screenshot helps a lot.
