Glass Atlas docs¶
An interactive 3D atlas of real human anatomy, built around one teaching case.
These pages explain Glass Atlas the way I'd show it to you sitting next to me: what's on the screen, what each instrument lets you do, and where the numbers come from. If you're new, read "What is Glass Atlas?" first, and then take the tour in the app itself, which is the quickest way to see how the pieces fit together. The pages under "Under the hood" are the working notes for running and changing the atlas, and you only need them if you're working on the code.
It's all general education, not medical advice. The patient is a teaching case, and in real care a patient's own clinicians decide.
Getting started¶
- What is Glass Atlas? — what it does, what's on the screen, what works on a phone, and who it's for
Using the atlas¶
- The 3D body — turning, zooming and naming, the layers, and light and dark
- The case and its instruments — the conditions, the drawer and its tabs, and what each instrument does
- The dives — the microscope from the body down to the molecules, the games, and the field guide
- Medicines — the list and its search, a page for each medicine, and the planner for the day
- Connections, the day and the tour — the web of links, 24 hours in the patient's body, and the narrated tour
- The emergency card, notes and sources — Tell any provider, notes on the body, and the 87 references
Under the hood¶
- Developing Glass Atlas — running it, the files, light and dark, walking the screens, and
tools/check.py - The references — all 87 sources, with links
- The notes folder — the notes export, and where local notes live
